IT’S HARD TO *not* like Dwayne Johnson.

However, there are some serious super-fans out there who you wouldn’t want to cross when it came to a matter involving The Rock. Minnesota teenager Katie Kelzenberg is one of these people.

Katie filmed a ‘promposal’, inviting Dwayne Johnson to her upcoming senior prom and uploaded it to Twitter. She was dressed as Dwayne Johnson, and had her collection of Dwayne Johnson merch laid out on the floor beside her.

Eventually, this post made it onto Dwayne Johnson’s Twitter timeline, and he decided to respond.

Brace yourself. You might get emotional. Dwayne sent her a message over the school’s intercom, and told her that while he was disappointed that he couldn’t make it to her prom, he was going to try and make it up to her.

All right, let’s start the Friday morning announcement off with a little bit of fun and a little bit of excitement. Good morning, to the Stillwater Area High School students. You might have guessed by now, I’m Dwayne Johnson.

Katie proceeds to lose her shit while someone in the classroom films her reaction.

You’re probably thinking “Whaaaat? What is The Rock doing on our intercom system?!” Well, I’m sending a message to a very special young lady and her name is Miss Katie Kelzenberg.

Katie, because we are now best friends, and I have so much love for you because you’re so awesome, I have a very special gift… I have rented out a theatre tomorrow, which I believe is very close to you. I want you to grab all of your favourite friends and your closest family members, whoever you wanna bring Katie.

Because, tomorrow at 4:45pm, I’m showing you a screening of my new movie Rampage and all of the popcorn and candy and soda you want, it’s all paid for. Everything is free. I want you to go have the greatest time. I rented out 232 seats.

Pretty nice gesture, considering how expensive food at the cinema is. Later on Dwayne wrote on Twitter “I think I was more excited about this surprise than Katie was, and she was hyped.”

The Rock later shared a video to Instagram to say how impressed he was with Katie’s promposal.

I just want to take a moment to let you know how awesome I think you are. You stepped out of your comfort zone to ask me to the prom. Katie, girls and women, they get shy around me. High-level professional women get very shy around me, and they don’t say anything until I leave. And here you are! You’re like, “Yo Rock, I’m your biggest fan! I love you, take me to the prom!” I love that about you Katie.

I hope some chivalrous boy takes you to the prom. You know what? You might not even need a boy. Go with your girlfriends. Have a blast, enjoy Rampage, and I love you for being an awesome fan.
